Students Graduation Projects Vivas at the Faculty of Nursing

In an extremely scientific environment that reflected the spirit of innovation and excellence, the Faculty of Nursing, MTI University held the students’ graduation projects vivas, under the supervision of:

·         Prof. Hoda Zaki – Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.

·         Prof. Hanaa Azmi – Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.

·         Prof. Shaimaa El-Hadary – Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing

·         Dr. Enjy Abdelrahman – Associate Professor of Medical-Surgical Nursing.

The event also marked the remarkable presence of a distinguished group of the Faculty members and assisting staff, as well as the esteemed students' parents. These vibes   emphasized the commitment of both the academic and familial communities to excellence and success.

Projects presented on the sidelines of the first day included:

The First Project

§  The effectiveness of a three-dimensional board game supported by storytelling in improving hand-hygiene compliance among preschool children.

The Second Project

§  Factors associated with workplace violence against nurses in emergency departments.

The Third Project

§  The relationship between smartphones’ addiction and sleep disorders among university students.

The Fourth Project

§  Developing a home-based palliative care program for advanced-stage cancer patients

The Fifth Project

§  The effectiveness of using Virtual Reality (VR) technologies to reduce pain intensity during burns wound care procedures.

The Sixth Project

§  The effect of a nurse-led integrated educational program on stress levels and adaptation mechanisms among parents of children with leukemia.

The Seventh Project

§  Comparing diaphragmatic breathing techniques with the hybrid Buteyko technique as a nursing intervention for managing asthma in children.

The Eighth Project

Precision nursing in clinical practice: Exploring Nursing Knowledge and Implementation Impediments.

The Ninth Project

§  The effectiveness of lymphatic drainage compared with negative-pressure massage therapy in reducing edema after liposuction surgeries.

The Tenth Project

§  A comparative evaluation of hydrotherapy and ozone therapy in wound healing and pain reduction in superficial burns.

 

 

Significance of these Projects:

These projects reflect modern and advanced trends in the field of nursing through the integration of both technological innovation, such as the application of Virtual Reality (VR) technologies and educational games, with comprehensive care to address the psychological and social needs of the patients and their families.

 

The projects also contribute to enhancing the quality of healthcare, patients’ safety, as well as supporting evidence-based nursing practices.

We do appreciate our outstanding students for their honorary scientific efforts which emphasize that the future of nursing lies fundamentally in knowledge, innovation, and humanity.
