Our Vision:

The LC aims to be a leading edifice in delivering innovative, high-quality English language teaching, learning and instruction in parallel with the cultural enrichment, and to be recognized as a center that facilitates global engagement, providing pathways to academic and professional success.

Our Mission

The mission of the Languages Centre is to:

Increase multilingualism amongst students and staff of the University; promoting, encouraging and supporting the learning of languages for personal, academic and professional purposes.

To achieve our mission, the Languages Centre aims to:

·         Ensure access to outstanding language teaching and support for language learning for all current students and staff members of the University.

·         Support the highest levels of academic achievement by students whose first language is not English.

·         Exploit the latest technologies and pedagogies to develop spoken language teaching and learning materials, for use across the University.

·         Collaborate with the staff members of the other Faculties of the University by creating customized courses and providing instructional expertise on language learning. We fully support the University's commitment to a diverse and inclusive community service.

·         Provide customized and specialized professional advisory services to support individual language learners.

·         Provide high quality learning resources in multiple media, both physical and virtual, in a wide range of languages.

·         Provide high-accuracy English <> Arabic Translation services.

·         Enhance the student's knowledge of advanced technology language, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the related variety of software.
