As part of the efforts to prepare for the crucial visit
of the officials of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and
Accreditation of Education “NAQAAE” for the renewal of the Faculty of Nursing's
academic accreditation, the Community Service and Environmental Development
Unit Board of Directors held its meeting on April 14th, 2026.
The assembly was convened under the chairwomanship of
Prof. Hoda Zaki, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, MTI University and Chairwoman
of the Board of Directors, Prof. Amira El-Bieh, Vice Dean for Postgraduate
Studies and Research Affairs and Deputy Chairwoman of the Board of Directors.
This meeting highlighted the major role played by the
Faculty's key partners for success, including community representatives, as
well as the activities and events organized by the Unit. On this occasion, Prof.
Manal Mohamed, Head of the Community Service Unit demonstrated the Unit's
efforts, and the various activities held to meet the growing health needs of
the society. Prof. Mohamed also emphasized the importance of increasing the
awareness of the community engagement criteria and the pivotal role of the
community partners in supporting the Faculty's initiatives.
The demo presentation involved the participants'
considerable interaction by posing several questions, giving opinions, making
suggestions, and exchanging expertise with the community representatives. This reflected
the Faculty's commitment to community engagement, and contributed to the
enhancement of the community service initiatives, while promoting the Faculty's
community role.
Generally, the event was characterized by its
effective and positive communication, particularly as Prof. Tanazor Hemdan,
Head of the Quality Assurance Unit delivered a lecture addressing the
dissemination of quality culture and the consolidation of the advancement and
accreditation requirements. This is done within the scope of the Faculty of
Nursing efforts to fulfill the quality and accreditation criteria.
