From 26th -28th of January 2016 at Cairo Marriott Hotel.
Working in the chemical and biological
sciences, including university teaching and research, is a hazardous
endeavor. At universities, chemical and
biological materials, equipment, and expertise can be targeted by those who
would misuse them to harm others. Individuals
at all levels have a role in making sure that chemical and biological safety
and security best practices are followed.
The United States Department of State, Chemical Security Program, in
cooperation with the Modern University for Technology and Information (MTI) and
Sandia National Laboratories, is hosting a three days workshop to cover chemical and
biological risk management.
The workshop has been tailored for the
staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy. This workshop aims at using tools and methods
to perform chemical and biological risk assessments, and improve the safety and
security of their laboratories. Because
of the global nature of chemistry and biology, international cooperation in
chemical and bio-risk management is now more important than ever.
The workshop is organized by Dr. Noha Helmy
El-Nagdi, Lecturer at Organic Chemistry Department – The Modern University for
Technology and Information and assisted by Dr. Asmaa Mohamed, Lecturer
