He said that choosing the conference title was in line with our previous laboratories, which were keen to focus on selecting topics related to contemporary reality and the role of the media in preserving and highlighting them. Expressing that tourism is an important source of national income for many countries of the world and that interest in tourism as a science, art, and practice has increased in recent years with the escalation of competition between different countries to share the global tourism cake and the conflicts and challenges the world is witnessing that threaten the security and stability of many countries of the world
Al-Sherif pointed out during his opening speech at the conference that the growing role of tourism in the global economy witnessed a similar fit with the media, which witnessed technological developments that made the whole world a small mobile screen.

Indeed, several negative factors have continued in recent years in the regional and global arenas. The most prominent of which were the Covid-19 pandemic, the Russian-Ukraine war, and some environmental and climate issues that contributed to the faltering movement of tourism activity and the slowdown and slowdown in the growth rate in this current economic field, especially in some countries where the tourism industry represents the most important source of national income and the provision of hard currency.
